Jeff Green Provides Lift Off Bench For Rockets

4 years agoHouston Rockets forward Jeff Green made the most of his opportunity Saturday against the Hornets. The 33-year-old veteran scored 20 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the field in 29 minutes off the pine. Green was a team-high plus-28 for Coach D'Antoni's crew because he stuffed the stat sheet. Along with knocking down shots, he also pulled down eight boards, dished out two assists, and came up with three steals in the 99-108 loss for Houston. It was the second straight scoring outburst for Green, who scored 17 against the Clippers on Thursday. Despite this, fantasy owners should wait and see whether he can string together performances of this caliber before picking him up off of the waiver wire.--Jesse Cinquini
