4 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Kris Bubic was tagged with his fifth loss of the year on Saturday as the Royals were defeated 5-3 by the Chicago White Sox. However, Bubic put together one of his better starts of the year in the game, recording just his second quality start of the season. Bubic pitched seven innings and allowed four hits, one walk and five runs, but only two were earned. He struck out four in the game. Bubic now has a 4.89 ERA and 1.43 WHIP on the year. This was the seventh start of the year for Bubic, and the first start in which he reached the end of the seventh inning. The rookie still has some developing to do before he can be trusted for fantasy purposes. His next start is slated for Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
