2 years agoSacramento Kings forward Jeriah Horne finished with a game-high 20 points during the win over Houston in Las Vegas. He logged 26 minutes off the bench, going 8-for-15 from the field (2-for-4 from deep) while amassing four boards, three assists, one steal, and one block. The collegiate journeyman certainly looked good in this one. However, Horne has a long way to go before earning consideration from fantasy managers, including those participating in dynasty formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoHouston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. had a double-double during Saturday's Summer League loss to the Sacramento Kings. The rookie had 12 points and 12 rebounds while adding two blocks and a steal for good measure. However, he shot 4-for-15 from the field, including sinking just one of his four attempts from downtown. Smith will certainly get plenty of work and have more than a few solid performances throughout his inaugural year. He will need to become a more consistent shooter, which category managers should consider before drafting him.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoDetroit Pistons forward Braxton Key finished with 15 points during the win over Orlando in Summer League play. The 25-year-old put on a solid showing in Las Vegas on Saturday, draining six of his nine attempts from the field and going 2-for-4 from deep while adding four boards, one assist, and one steal. Key has some professional experience, recently suiting up for the Pistons in 2021-22. He played well, too, averaging 8.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks across nine games. He could see some more action for the big club in 2022-23, considering he's under a two-way deal. It won't make him a viable fantasy option, although he may gain some streaming interest at some point throughout the year.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoDetroit Pistons guard/forward Jules Bernard scored a game-high 22 points during the win over Orlando in Summer League action on Saturday. The 22-year-old needed only 20 minutes off the bench to make an impact, adding nine boards and three assists to his scoring output. He also drained all three of his tries from deep and made all nine free throw attempts. Yet, despite the promising showing, Bernard will likely have to scratch and claw to find consistent work in the G-League, so he won't offer much from a fantasy standpoint moving ahead.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoDetroit Pistons guard Charlie Moore scored 21 points during the Summer League victory over the Orlando Magic. He also had eight assists, five boards, and two steals. The undrafted rookie did have four turnovers, which is never a good look. However, Moore made amends due to his efficient shooting percentages, going 9-for-14 from the field and 3-for-5 from three-point land. Nevertheless, the 24-year-old is a long way away from getting any work at the professional level. Yet, he may receive some G-League interest moving ahead, but that won't make him relevant from a fantasy standpoint.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoDetroit Pistons guard Buddy Boeheim finished with only five points during the win over the Magic on Saturday in Las Vegas. The 22-year-old struggled, draining just one of his five attempts from downtown. He did have five boards and two assists, but overall, it was a forgettable showing from the Syracuse alum. Nonetheless, after playing relatively well throughout Summer League, Boeheim may get some big club experience this year, considering he's under a two-way deal. However, he's likely a few years away from tapping into his potential, so he probably won't see much fantasy interest in redraft formats heading into October.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoCleveland Cavaliers forward Isaiah Mobley finished with a double-double during Saturday's Summer League win over Atlanta. The 2022 second-round pick had 15 points and 10 rebounds, with six of those boards occurring on the offensive end. He didn't shoot the ball well, going 4-for-10 from the field while draining one of his three tries from deep. However, Mobley made up for it by missing just one of his seven attempts from the charity stripe. Nonetheless, with the 22-year-old signed under a two-way deal, he's not likely to be a viable fantasy contributor this season. Still, with some seasoning, Mobley may eventually become a useful role player, so he's worth a stash in deep dynasty formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoToronto Raptors guard Ron Harper Jr. finished Friday's Summer League win over the Heat with 14 points. Despite going 1-for-4 from deep, the former Rutgers star looked good, adding seven boards, one steal, and one block to supplement his scoring output. He signed a two-way contract and will suit up for Toronto's G-League affiliate this season. However, Harper could see some minutes at the professional level, and while he likely won't have any value in redraft formats, he should draw dynasty consideration heading into the 2022-23 campaign.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoToronto Raptors guard Dalano Banton finished with a game-high 18 points during the clash with Miami on Friday. He also had six rebounds and three assists and thrived defensively by amassing three steals. The 22-year-old has shined throughout his time in Las Vegas and has played a big part in the Raptors' Summer League success. However, he still has a way to go before earning a consistent spot in Nick Nurse's rotation. Yet, Banton is someone to watch this season, especially if Fred VanVleet, Armoni Brooks, or Malachi Flynn succumb to injury.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoLos Angeles Lakers guard Scotty Pippen Jr. finished with 11 points throughout Friday's victory over New Orleans in Las Vegas. While the 21-year-old also had seven assists, three steals, and a block, he had a rough night on the shooting end by going 4-for-12 from the field, including sinking only one of his four tries from three-point range. Pippen was signed to a two-way deal after going undrafted during the 2022 NBA Draft. He will likely get some professional minutes this season based on how well he's played this summer. Though the Vanderbilt alum probably won't see a consistent workload, he is undoubtedly worthy of a stash from dynasty managers, even if his ceiling isn't reached within the next several years.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Cole Swider finished with a game-high 21 points during the Summer League win over the Pelicans. He added six rebounds and a steal. The Syracuse alum also shot the ball well on Friday, going 8-for-15 from the field and 5-for-11 from deep. Swider has played sufficiently during his time in Las Vegas and has made a solid case to make the regular season roster, especially since L.A. is strapped for cash and looking to add depth. The 23-year-old may not be a consistent fantasy contributor this season, although he's someone for dynasty managers to keep on the radar moving ahead.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoOklahoma City Thunder center Jeremiah Robinson-Earl had a double-double during the win over the Warriors in Vegas on Friday evening. The big man logged 29 minutes of work, amassing 15 points and 14 rebounds. The 21-year-old is coming off a rookie season where he averaged 7.5 points and 5.6 rebounds while making 36 appearances as a starter. Although Chet Holmgren is now on the roster, Robinson-Earl is someone to watch, primarily since he could see more than a handful of starts in 2022-23.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoGolden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga finished with 16 points during the loss to the Thunder in Summer League play. He also had five assists and four boards. Despite amassing a game-high in the points column on Friday night, Kuminga had another rough shooting performance, going 5-for-15 from the field and 2-for-7 from downtown. While the 19-year-old is in line to see a more prominent role in the rotation for the Dubs, he desperately needs to improve his percentages, or else he may be spending most of his time on the bench this season.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoGolden State Warriors center James Wiseman finished with 14 points in the loss to OKC in Las Vegas on Friday night. As expected, the big man logged just over 20 minutes. He went 4-for-6 from the field, draining his lone attempt from deep while adding seven boards, two assists, and a block. Throughout Summer Leauge, the 2020 No. 2 overall pick has proven he's healthy and ready to go in 2022-23 after missing over a year due to a knee injury. Although Kevon Looney is still in the picture, Wiseman should offer plenty of upside for fantasy managers during the regular season.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

2 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward/center Charles Bassey had only three points in 16 minutes during the win over the Nuggets in Las Vegas. Despite Bassey's performance on Friday night, the 21-year-old has played relatively well throughout his time in Summer League. While Paul Reed appears to have a more promising upside, Bassey may at least continue to suit up at the professional level in 2022-23. However, that won't make him relevant in any fantasy format outside of a dynasty stash.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
