4 years agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso has certainly had a disappointing season overall, following up a monstrous 53-home run rookie campaign. However, he's started to show signs of last year's dominance so far in September. Alonso has four home runs through seven games this month and has a slugging percentage of .714 through the month. While Alonso's numbers are down across the board this year, he's still posting some very strong metrics, including an 11.3% barrel rate. Hopefully the Mets slugger can stay hot this month and help make up for his slow start to the shortened 2020 season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
