6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Shelby Miller was tagged for four earned runs, four hits and two walks with three strikeouts over just 3 1/3 innings in a loss Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates at home. He threw just 36 of his 62 pitches for strikes, he uncorked a wild pitch and also managed first-pitch strikes to just five of the 16 batters he faced, slipping to 1-2 with a terrible 7.99 ERA. The Rangers might pull the plug on this experiment and move him to the bullpen to iron out his issues. Either way, fantasy owners should steer far clear of this situation until he starts to show some consistency.--Daniel Dobish
