The price drop that some players receive for matchups is a bit crazy on DraftKings some nights. The Wolves were a part of that tonight, as their players lost quite a bit of salary because of their tough matchup against the Grizzlies.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/4/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

DraftKings DFS Guards
Jrue Holiday – PG, at WAS ($7,400)
Holiday has been playing exceptionally well for the Pelicans recently. He’s averaging 24.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 2.3 steals per game over the last 10 days. His price tag has yet to reach his production, and he’s entirely too cheap on this slate. He gets a good matchup against a fast paced Wizards team, and he dominated them for 52 fantasy points in their only matchup this season. He’s locked into big minutes for New Orleans, and he can safely be used in all leagues tonight.
Ricky Rubio – PG, vs MEM ($6,000)
Rubio saw a huge price drop because of the matchup against the Grizzlies, but it seems as if the price drop overcompensated for Memphis defense. Rubio is averaging 13.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 9.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game over the last 10 days, and he has scored at least 30 fantasy points in eight of his last 10 games, including multiple games with 50 or more fantasy points. As previously mentioned, he gets a terrible matchup against the Grizzlies, who he has struggled against this season, but Rubio still makes an elite tournament option for his price.
Courtney Lee – SG, vs CLE ($4,200)
Lee has struggled in each of his last two games, but he’s still averaging 13.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over the last 10 days. His struggles coincide with a lack of minutes, as Lee is a player that needs big minutes to score fantasy points. He gets a good matchup against the Cavs tonight, though, and he’s still a fairly cheap option. He hasn’t been playing well enough to be used in cash games, but he’s a solid tournament option tonight.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
Karl-Anthony Towns – PF/C, vs MEM ($9,000)
Towns is another Wolves player that saw a huge price drop on this slate. He gets a tough matchup against Memphis, but he is averaging more than 50 fantasy points per game over the last 10 days. He’s a consistent option, who also comes with elite upside, and this price is laughable tonight. He has also been a significantly better fantasy option at home this season, and Towns will be the first player inserted into all my lineups tonight
James Johnson – PF, vs PHI ($5,800)
Johnson is a player that goes on hot and cold streaks, and he’s coming into this game on fire. He’s averaging 36.3 fantasy points per game over his last four games, and he has contributed in each of the five categories in each of those games. He gets a good matchup against the Sixers tonight, and they are a team that is dealing with multiple injuries. Johnson does come with a small amount of risk, but he is cheap enough to be used in all leagues.
Frank Kaminsky – PF/C, at UTA ($4,200)
The Hornets traded Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert on Thursday, while Cody Zeller is dealing with an injury. That leaves Frank Kaminsky and newly acquired Miles Plumlee to handle the minutes at center. Kaminsky has already been named the starter, and he’s a player that can score fantasy points in a hurry. He loves stretching the court, which will keep him out of the paint against Rudy Gobert. Kaminsky comes with great upside, but he’s a tournament only option because of the matchup.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Rudy Gobert – C, vs CHA ($7,500)
There’s very little reason to believe Gobert will struggle tonight. The Hornets recently traded Spencer Hawes and Roy Hibbert, which means Frank Kaminsky and Miles Plumlee will be the only two centers available for Charlotte tonight. Neither of those players will be able to slow Gobert down in the paint, and he’s coming off a great 50.75 fantasy point performance against the Bucks. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Gobert record 20 rebounds tonight, and he’ll make an elite option on this slate.
Marcin Gortat – C, vs NO ($6,100)
If you don’t want to pay up for Gobert, Gortat is a solid option for $1.4k cheaper. He has been on fire over the last 10 days, as he’s averaging 15.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over that span. Gortat has scored at least 35 fantasy points in each of his last four games, and he gets a great matchup against the Pelicans tonight. He scored 36.25 fantasy points against New Orleans in their only matchup this season, and he could post a similar line tonight. Gortat has been playing well enough to be used in all leagues.
