Brandon Drury Hitting Cleanup Against Marlins
2 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Brandon Drury is starting at third base and is hitting cleanup on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins and right-hander Pablo Lopez. It is the first time that Drury has hit cleanup all year, and he's mostly been hitting fifth since he was traded to the Padres at the Aug. 2 deadline. The 29-year-old is having a career year, slashing .268/.328/.513 with an .841 OPS, 23 home runs, 72 RBI, 69 runs scored and two stolen bases in 396 at-bats. He's struggled so far in his time with San Diego, though, going 10-for-46 (.217) with three home runs, 13 RBI and seven runs scored in 13 games played.
