Corbin Carroll To Make MLB Debut This Year
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen suggested that outfield prospect Corbin Carroll will make his major league debut at some point before the end of the season. The D-backs want to be as sure as possible that Carroll is ready to get to the majors and stay there. The No. 3 overall prospect in all of baseball, per MLB Pipeline, has hit .316/.430/.590 in parts of three minor league seasons, including a .315/.431/.616 slash line between Double-A and Triple-A in 2022. The former first-rounder in 2019 has flown through the farm system but lost the 2020 season due to the pandemic and missed all but seven games in 2021 with a shoulder injury. It remains to be seen how Carroll will fare when he faces big-league pitching, but his upside alone makes him worth a pickup in all single-league fantasy formats.
