2 years agoWith San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (hamstring) still sidelined, Jeff Wilson Jr. is expected to start the team's preseason finale on Thursday against the Houston Texans. Wilson played in just nine regular season games last year due to injury and finished with 79 carries for 294 yards and two touchdowns. But he's healthy entering the 2022 campaign and is expected to begin the regular season as the No. 2 behind Mitchell. The Niners also have Trey Sermon, JaMycal Hasty and rookie third-rounder Tyrion Davis-Price, so it's a crowded backfield, but if Wilson stays healthy, he should be the top handcuff option in deeper leagues for fantasy managers that draft Mitchell.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
