2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Collin Johnson (Achilles) tore his Achilles in training camp practice on Wednesday, according to the team. It's a tough break, as Johnson had impressed this summer and looked primed for serious playing time. Instead, he'll miss the entire 2022 campaign. In two preseason games, he caught 10 passes for 123 yards. It comes on the same day that the Giants reinstated Sterling Shepard, who tore his Achilles last year, from the Physically Unable to Perform list. New York's receiver room was decimated by injuries in 2021, so Johnson's injury is more of the same. Kadarius Toney (hamstring) has been slowed by an injury in camp, but he projects as the highest-upside Giants wideout with quarterback Daniel Jones back healthy this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
