2 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Bobby Dalbec went 1-for-4 with two RBI, a stolen base, a run scored and a strikeout in a 6-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday night. It was nice to see from Dalbec, who hasn't been very successful at the plate of late. The 27-year-old should see much more playing time with Eric Hosmer (back) on the injured list, but he's hitting just .205/.277/.358 on the year with 11 home runs, 34 RBI, 36 runs scored and three stolen bases in 328 plate appearances over 107 games in his third big-league season. Dalbec has gone 8-for-36 (.222) with a homer, five RBI, seven runs scored and 16 strikeouts in 14 games played in August. He's struck out eight times in his last five contests.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
