Panthers Interested In Denzel Mims
2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers have called about New York Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims, according to league sources. Mims had two 1,000-yard receiving seasons for Panthers head coach Matt Rhule at Baylor. General manager Scott Fitterer said the team will be in on every potential deal as the regular season nears. Mims recently requested a trade out of New York, and the Jets reportedly plan to fulfill that request. The 24-year-old doesn't have a clear path to playing time in 2022 for Gang Green with Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, rookie first-rounder Garrett Wilson and Braxton Berrios ahead of him on the depth chart. DJ Moore and Robbie Anderson are Carolina's top two pass-catchers, but behind them they don't have many proven options in Terrace Marshall Jr., Brandon Zylstra and Rashard Higgins.
