Hello everybody and welcome! The 2022 MLB season is heading towards the home stretch and we here at Rotoballer have you covered with some terrific plays from our friends over at PrizePicks.
PrizePicks is a great DFS fantasy picks site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

MLB DFS Prop Picks for 8/31/22
Joe Musgrove over 5.0 strikeouts- Musgrove has let us down a bit lately, but he has hit this total in four of his previous six starts and has a solid matchup against the Giants tonight. Over the previous two weeks, the Giants have posted the fourth-highest K rate against righties with a rate of 25%. They have also posted just a 63 wRC+ over that same span, so Musgrove should also be able to limit the damage and get relatively deep in this one as he has also gone at least six innings pitched in four of his previous six starts.
Triston McKenzie over 5.5 strikeouts - This one could be a bit tight, but McKenzie has gone over this total in four of his previous six starts. He will be facing the Orioles, who have posted a K rate of 24.6% vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which ranks fifth-worst in baseball over that span. They are also posting a mediocre wRC+ mark of just 86 and their walk rate over that same span ranks in the bottom half of the league, which is good news for McKenzie as he can find himself in trouble here at times.
Gerrit Cole over 8.5 strikeouts - Cole has a tremendous matchup tonight as the Angels are posting the worst K rate in baseball against right-handers over the previous two weeks (and have for some time) with a rate of 26.6%. Cole has hit nine or more strikeouts in 11 starts this season and has feasted on teams that rank near the bottom of the league in terms of strikeouts vs. right-handed pitching. He is also fresh off an 11-strikeout performance against the Athletics and should be revved up for this one.
Jose Quintana over 4.0 strikeouts - The matchup for Q is pretty solid in this one as the Reds are struggling vs. left-handers by posting a K rate of 25.8% (fourth-worst) and a walk rate of just 6.6% (eighth-worst) over the previous two weeks. Quintana has matched or eclipsed this total just once in his previous four starts but has faced some tough competition in terms of K rates vs. lefties over that span.
