Last season was a lost year for San Francisco Giants right fielder Hunter Pence. He suffered a fractured left forearm in spring training that derailed his entire campaign, limiting the previously ironman-like Pence to a career season-low 52 games. It's easy to overlook that Pence's numbers, if projected over a full season, would have looked like this: 27 home runs, 120 RBIs, 12 stolen bases, .275 average. Not too shabby.
Pence has never been a monster in any one particular category, but he consistently gives you production across the board. He's a career .284 hitter with 20-home run and 90-RBI potential every season. Those type of numbers put him among the top 35 outfielders. He'll likely go overlooked in drafts given his age (32) and forgettable 2015 season, so you could be getting OF2 production for the cost of an OF3 or lower. That value is too good to pass up.
