ANALYSIS: Eickhoff is one of the young starters that has been keeping the Phillies at all relevant in 2016. He might be overshadowed by the likes of Aaron Nola and Vincent Velasquez, but Eickhoff is no slouch. On the season, he is sporting a 3.38 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. There were some bad starts there at the end of April so Eickhoff has righted the ship in a big way. He hasn't allowed more than three ER in a start during the month of June, and has gone 3-2 for the month.
The SIERA of 4.04 and xFIP of 4.01 suggest that he will give up some runs, but Eickhoff has gotten good results of late. This is thanks in large part to his slider, which has proved to be an effective pitch when he is locating it. He can use it to miss bats and generate weak contact. The run support, or lack thereof, certainly caps his value. Those in QS leagues should take notice though. He's not a bad streaming option either.
