5 years agoThe San Diego Padres will call up left-handed pitcher Adrian Morejon on Saturday, per The Athletic’s Dennis Lin. Morejon, the team’s No. 4 prospect and No. 49 in baseball, is expected to work out of the bullpen. Morejon has 16 starts under his belt in Double-A with a 4.25 ERA and 11.0 K/9 but will bolster a horrendous Friars relief corps. Signed out of Cuba in 2015, the 20-year-old possesses strong mechanics with a mid-90s heater and solid complementary pitches. As a middle reliever, Morejon carries minimal value in redraft leagues but with a chance to become a starter down the line, he’s surely an interesting dynasty piece.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
