5 years agoOakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr got his team off to a terrific start to the 2019 season, defeating the Broncos 24-16 in their Monday night showdown. The 28-year-old journeyman looked more comfortable in his second season under Head Coach Jon Gruden completing 22-of-26 passes for 259 yards and a touchdown. Carr found most of his success targeting Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller in big situations as he made good consistent throws all evening against a stout Broncos Defense. His Week 1 performance was very encouraging, and he'll look to keep pace against the high scoring Chiefs offense in a Week 2 matchup next Sunday.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
