Hello there eSports DFS enthusiasts, and welcome back to RotoBaller's coverage of Call of Duty DFS contests for DraftKings! FanDuel may have nixed their COD contests but there are plenty to choose from on DraftKings, don't worry! And I'll continue to bring you my thoughts and analysis for these COD slates until season's end.
We had some very surprising sweeps yesterday with a lot of variance. Esports is getting pushed out the way a little by the opening up of baseball, but there is still money to be made and there are only a few weeks left of the COD season. We have a two-match slate on Sunday with the top two teams in the league facing off and a couple of matched with big playoff implications.
Today I'll be bringing you my COD DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Sunday, July 26h, 2020 at 4:00 PM EST. If you want more COD content, our premium eSports package contains user-friendly cheat sheets for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday slates. Call of Duty: Toronto Home Series (Best of 5)
- Toronto Ultra vs. Dallas Empire
- OpTic Gaming LA vs. Atlanta FaZe
COD DFS Basics
- Like in CSGO, players receive two points for a kill and are penalized -1 for dying. Therefore, the simplest stat to look at here is K/D ratio. However, players can also earn fantasy points for planting or defusing bombs (three points each) in Search and Destroy rounds, so there are some players who we can target for other skills besides their ability to kill the opponent.
- You need to roster a team slot on both sites. Teams accrue fantasy points for games won (+4), matches won (+10), and Search and Destroy rounds won (+.5).
- Teams will be playing best-of-five matches on a rotation of various game modes. Those modes and the order in which they are played is as follows: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy.
- In hardpoint rounds, players with positive K/D ratios are usually the highest scorers and these rounds are often the bloodiest.
- The Domination round is a good bit different than the others as teams attempt to control flag points on the map. These rounds can be bloody, but also can be relatively low-scoring depending on how aggressive or defensive teams get in this round. Players can earn +1 for successful flag captures during this domination round.
DFS Captain Considerations
Shotzzy - 3/3 this weekend for Shotzzy making the captain section of this article. Dallas takes on a surging Toronto Ultra squad in a match that I expect to be highly competitive. Dallas was swept by FaZe on Saturday but then swept the Florida Mutineers later on in the day. Shotzzy has not gotten many chances to flash his upside this weekend due to all these sweeps. I don't see a sweep coming here so expect that 150 point performance we have been waiting for all weekend.
Cammy - Ona two-game slate, Cammy is my favorite GPP captain play on the slate. He continuously goes under-owned despite putting up massive performances day in and day out. I expect this match to be the closer of the two so I will happily take the reduced captain ownership on Cammy here and the massive ceiling that comes with him.
Other captain plays: SlasheR, Simp/Cellium, Abezy
COD DFS Value Plays
iLLeY - Priced in the upper-tier of what I would consider "value" on DK but in the match that I am expecting to be the more competitive of the two I like him a lot at his price point. Averaging 91 DKP per match is a steal down in this price range. At times iLLey will just take over along with Shotzzy as we saw glimpses of that happen last weekend, and if that happens, you best have him on your roster.
Clayster - Priced in the 7k range on DK is very attractive for a player of Claysters caliber. I want to load up on studs from this Dallas/Toronto match and taking Clay here is a great way to help do just that. He flashes that 100+ point upside every now and then but is consistently in the 80-90 range and that is all you need at his price.
Other value plays: MajorManiak, Priestahh, Bance

COD DFS Stacking options
I will keep this simple for you guys, I recommend having most of your exposure to the Dallas/Toronto match as I am expecting FaZe to sweep OGLA 3-0. My favorite pieces from the Dallas side are Shotzzy, iLLeY, and Huke. On the Toronto side, I prefer Cammy, Methodz, and Bance. I really hope Dallas can pull this one out as Toronto likely takes the last playoff spot with a win (Same case with OGLA). If Toronto or OGLA were to win their matches, that would mean that my very own Paris Legion (Yes I am a huge fan now) would be kicked out from that last playoff spot. I think Dallas takes care of business here and wins a close one, 3-2.
Other stacks/teams: Atlanta FaZe
