Tyrod Taylor Enters Camp As Starting Quarterback
3 years agoWith Deshaun Watson still away from the team, the Houston Texans will enter 2021's training camp with Tyrod Taylor as the team's starting quarterback. In fact, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle says that Taylor's role as the starting passer in Houston is one of the few things that team knows right now about their 2021 lineup. With Watson's trade demand and legal troubles clouding the picture, Taylor seems to be a lock to start the season-opener against the Jaguars. Taylor has three seasons in his career in which he started at least 14 games and finished as a top 16 fantasy quarterback in each of those seasons, but he hasn't been a full-time starter since 2017 in Buffalo. His rushing upside gives him a higher fantasy floor than a lot of QB2 options though, and fantasy managers might be wise to target Taylor late in drafts to be their backup QB.
