Chris Conley Among Veteran Receivers Who Could Earn Snaps
3 years agoWhile the Houston Texans know that Brandin Cooks will be starting at outside receiver and one of Randall Cobb or Keke Coutee will get slot snaps, the competition for the other outside receiver role is a huge toss-up heading into camp. Rookie Nico Collins might be the long-term solution, but after not playing last season, it's unlikely he can start from the get. That leaves at least five players looking to win the No. 3 receiver role, including Chris Conley, Donte Moncrief, Alex Erickson, Chris Moore, and Taywan Taylor. Conley should be considered the early favorite for that role, as he's coming off two productive seasons with the Jaguars. But with so much mystery surrounding this competition, fantasy managers would be wise to just ignore this until we have some more data. Maybe someone emerges as a waiver wire addition early in the season, but you don't need to be drafting any of these players in redraft leagues.
