Mekhi Becton Will Have Surgery On Wednesday
3 years agoNew York Jets offensive tackle Mekhi Becton (knee) will surgery on Wednesday and is expected to miss four to eight weeks. One of the most promising young tackles in the NFL, Becton's extended absence will hurt the Jets offense, with both the passing game -- led by rookie quarterback Zach Wilson -- and the running game seeing a drop-off. Running back was already a mess for the Jets, as Week 1 saw Tevin Coleman lead the team in rushing with just 24 yards. As long as Becton is sidelined, the Jets offensive line will be at far less than full strength.
