3 years agoThe New York Giants have installed both a new general manager (Joe Schoen) and head coach (Brian Daboll) ahead of the 2022 season in an attempt to return the franchise to the postseason for the first time since '16. When asked about the trade market -- and franchise cornerstone Saquon Barkley -- Schoen expressed a desire to keep his phone lines open, an interesting nugget for the oft-injured fantasy stalwart that New York chose with the second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Barkley has just one season remaining on his rookie deal before he is set to become an unrestricted free agent ahead of '23. While Barkley's fantasy upside should remain immense no matter where he plays next year, his role in the Giants' offense is familiar and would keep him as a likely first-round draft choice in most season-long formats.--Jesse Borek
