BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 25% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Deni Avdija was the 9th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards and has been thrown into the fire right away, taking a starting position for the Wizards. While Avdija isn't a freak athletically or has an amazing stroke from 3, Avdija has an all-around game and can contribute in all categories for your fantasy team.
Without the summer league and the extended training camp period, all rookies should be expected to have a rough start until they get a feel for the NBA's pace and physicality. While Avdija hasn't had a standout performance yet, he has been a positive contributor for the Wizards, earning 26 minutes a night.
In 6 games this season Avdija is averaging 7.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 1.7 threes per game. He is also shooting an impressively high 51.5% from the field but only 60% from the free-throw line on 0.8 attempts. Most of his role with the starting five has been a catch and shoot 3-point shooter which he makes 47.6% of his threes.
Avdija's ability to score, play-make and rebound makes him a viable fantasy asset who can provide in multiple categories. He is a 6′ 9″ small forward who will only get better as the season continues. Being a rookie and a starter for the Wizards, Avdija is getting chances to get minutes with the starting unit, and at the end of games during garbage time.
Currently, only being rostered in 25% of leagues, Avdija is a must-add in 14-team leagues or higher. As he gets more games and minutes under his belt he should see noticeable improvement throughout the season.

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers.
