In the next week or so, we're going to hit the quarter mark of the season ("What... We're already 1/4 finished? Noooo!"). There is still time for some catchers to turn it around, but that's dwindling away. The waiver wire pickings are still very strong, though. I'm still wondering why some of them are hanging around there. Did someone leak a rumor that they smell?
As always, our cut-off is sub-50% ownership in Fleaflicker leagues.

Week 7 Waiver Wire Catchers
Yadier Molina (STL) 45% - What's it going to take for people to get on the Yadi Train? He's having one of his best seasons with the bat, leading all catchers in hits. Molina's also driving in runs and scoring them himself even with no power. This is a guy who definitely deserves to be bumped over the 50% mark. I don't want to have to mention him again on here, folks.
Wilson Ramos (WAS) 31% - OK, we're almost into June and not even a third of Fleaflicker owners want this guy who is hitting .340? What does he need to do, knock on every other owner's door and plead his case? Ramos is waiver wire gold waiting to be picked up. Let's have a gold rush, everyone. This is a head-scratcher, indeed.
J.T. Realmuto (MIA) 29% - Realmuto is doing really well this season for the Marlins. He's hitting .320 and he's stolen two bases so far - though that part hasn't separated him from the catching pack so far - heck, Yadi has two himself. The Marlins catcher needs to be owned in far more Fleaflicker leagues than he already is.
Francisco Cervelli (PIT) 35% - Yes, Cervelli is struggling this month. The Bucs aren't worried - they just rewarded him with a three-year extension worth $31 million. Neither should you - he's still a Top 5 catcher in many categories, even ahead of the Golden Boy, Buster Posey, in some of them. Let's just say that he does fall off even more. He's still a lot better than many of the two-catcher options out there. Also, did you all really think I was going to back off my protest to try to get him over 40% ownership?
Yan Gomes (CLE) 21% - Gomes has had a very odd season so far. He's hitting below his weight in average but he's leading all catchers in RBIs. In fact, entering Wednesday's action he had more RBIs than hits: 21-20. If he keeps this trend up he could help you a lot in one category at least in two-catcher leagues. It'd be nice if he brought that average up...
Tyler Flowers (ATL) 2% - Trying to find a really good second catcher around this time of year is tough. Many of the catchers out there have already fallen off a cliff. Flowers has the not-so-great distinction of playing for the putrid Braves, which is a strike against him. Thing is, he's not hitting THAT badly, a fairly decent .277 after Wednesday's action. This is the time to take whatever you can find. Grab him and hope for the best.
