DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football (10/23/21 Primetime)

We have another eight games for our Saturday prime time college football slate on DraftKings. We start off in the SEC with Alabama hosting Tennessee for the right to smoke cigars in the stadium. Air Force welcomes a struggling San Diego State team.

A half-hour later, the rest of the action starts. We have the Gamecocks heading to College Station. NC State heads down to Miami to take on the struggling Hurricanes. TCU hosts West Virginia. Virginia is licking their chops with Georgia Tech's corners coming to town. Ohio State heads to Bloomington. We close it out with USC heading to South Bend. This is going to be fun!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup primetime picks for DraftKings on 10/23/21, locking at 7 pm eastern. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Quarterbacks

Brennan Armstrong, Virginia ($9,600)

The Wreck have had some problems grounding opposing quarterbacks this year. North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Duke have racked up 997 passing yards and eight touchdowns over the last three games. Now Virginia and their massive receivers, along with a very dangerous Brennan Armstrong, get to pick apart this defense. Armstrong can beat you in a lot of ways. If he were in the SEC, ESPN would be talking about him right there with Matt Corral. The stats are almost as good. The Virginia defense should let the wreck stay close, which means a whole lot of yards for Armstrong.

Jeff Sims, Georgia Tech ($8,300)

Hey, remember when Sims was the next great Tech option quarterback? His passing still remains hit-and-miss, but Georgia Tech still isn't afraid to run him and Sims has put up a lot of passing yards in the last two games as well. Virginia has been hurt worse on the ground, but not much about this defense is good. This should be a high-scoring game. Running both quarterbacks here feels like a good idea.

Haaziq Daniels, Air Force ($6,200)

The San Diego State rush defense is usually good, but with the way this offense seemingly refuses to move the ball, it really takes a toll on the defense. Daniels is going to be a problem for the Aztecs, but I don't think his ceiling is all that high. You're basically paying this price for a running back in a tough matchup. Daniels has only completed three passes or more twice in seven games.

Also consider: C.J. Stroud, Ohio State ($9,200); Devin Leary, North Carolina State ($7,200); Jaxson Dart, USC ($7,000); Tyler Buchner, Notre Dame ($5,600)

DraftKings CFB DFS Running Backs

Brian Robinson Jr., Alabama ($8,500)

He's catching passes. He's scoriong touchdowns. Robinson is doing everything you want for the Tide right now. He has at least 20 DraftKings points in four straight games. He likely would have had that in the first two games if they weren't blowouts. Alabama has leaned a lot on Robinson so as not to overwhelm Bryce Young. This should be a tougher game against the Vols, but you can bet Alabama will get him the ball any way possible. He has seven touchdowns in the last three games.

Leddie Brown, West Virginia ($6,800)

TCU has allowed 1,066 rushing yards over the last four games. West Virginia isn't as explosive as those other four offenses, but Brown is among the better backs they have faced. Brown's struggles against Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and Baylor (all good run defenses, by the way) has depressed his price. However, he did run for 161 and a touchdown on the Hokies in Week 3. There is potential here.

Zonovan Knight, North Carolina State ($5,100)

The Miami defense is falling apart. Both Knight and Ricky Person Jr. are strong picks in this one. The Wolfpack are going to shorten this game and run it all over the Hurricanes just because they can. I prefer the upside of Knight, but Person probably has the better floor. If you can't use both or don't want your whole backfield from the same team, lean Knight in GPP and Person in cash. One or both will have a good game here.

Miyan Williams, Ohio State ($4,800)

Williams is slated to return for the Buckeyes here and though Henderson has seized the job, I still think Williams gets some work. I doubt this game stays close and the Buckeyes gave Williams about ten touches per game when he was healthy earlier this year. Williams can do a whole lot of damage with those ten touches. That makes him an intriguing GPP play for this price.

Also consider: TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State ($8,100); Kyren Williams, Notre Dame ($7,200); Jaylan Knighton, Miami ($6,700); Jabari Small, Tennessee ($5,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Wide Receivers

Drake London, USC ($8,800)

I would expect London to catch a dozen passes with my 86-year-old grandfather throwing to him right now. The QB controversy does nothing to take away from London. He is second in FBS with 64 receptions and fourth in yardage with 832. He's going to get his in South Bend. That's the only thing you can count on from USC right now.

John Metchie III, Alabama ($7,100)

This is what we have been waiting to see all season from Metchie. He finally topped 100 yards in a game this season and has been heavily targeted over the last couple of games. Alabama's learning curve for this year is about done. They know what's working for them now. The window for them to lose again may already be closed. It's clear that Metchie works. Jameson Williams is electric, but Metchie is the guy that consistently moves the sticks.

Billy Kemp IV, Virginia ($6,100)

You don't often see a team do what Virginia did last week. They beat Duke 48-0, but they still never really ran the ball in that game. Wicks is the big-play guy for the Hoos, but Kemp is the one that piles up the points from receptions. Georgia Tech's defense isn't terrible. Wicks is probably going to burn them once or twice, but in the event that he doesn't I like the consistency of Kemp. He has at least six receptions in every game against FBS teams.

Charleston Rambo, Miami ($5,200)

The inefficiency of Tyler Van Dyke has neutered an already sketchy Miami passing attack. Rambo has a ton of talent and is still the reading receiver with Van Dyke in there. North Carolina State is capable of stuffing the Miami run game which should mean a heavy target load for Rambo. There is solid upside here for GPP formats.

Ty Fryfogle, Indiana ($4,300)

The troubles of the Indiana passing offense has resulted in the slashing of prices across the board. We saw Jack Tuttle able to get the ball to Fryfogle against a stout defense where Michael Penix would check down to Peyton Hendershot and let him do what he does. With Penix doubtful, I'm leaning towards Fryfogle for my cheap receiver. If for some reason Penix does play, I like Hendershot more.

Also consider: Chris Olave, Ohio State ($7,800); Dontavyion Wicks, Virginia ($6,900); Michael Mayer, Notre Dame ($6,000); Jerlani Woods, Virginia ($5,600); Velus Jones Jr., Tennessee ($4,800)
