Cedric Mullins Drops To Eighth In Batting Order
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins is starting in center field and hitting eighth in the batting order on Monday against Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Yusei Kikuchi. It will be just the second time all year that Mullins has hit eighth in the order. He's gone 8-for-25 (.320) with a home run, three RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases in six games over the last week, but he's also hitting just .211 (32-for-152) with only three of his nine home runs against left-handed pitchers this year. It's unclear if the 27-year-old will hit lower in the lineup against southpaws moving forward, but it's obviously bad news for his DFS value. In his place, right fielder Ryan McKenna will hit leadoff for the O's on Monday.
