Dwight Smith Jr. Hits Two-Run Home Run Wednesday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Dwight Smith Jr. went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a strikeout in Wednesday's 9-3 loss to the Yankees. Smith Jr. crushed a seventh-inning Gerrit Cole fastball over the right-field wall for his first HR of the season. The 27-year-old is now 1-for-5 on the short season and will likely need some time to get warmed up, given that he missed most of Summer Camp due to having COVID-19. Hopefully, this game will help Smith Jr. get things started, but for now, fantasy players should wait before considering rostering him.
