Eric Lauer Rolls Against Yankees
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Eric Lauer lasted 5 1/3 strong innings Tuesday against the New York Yankees to collect his fourth victory. Aside from serving a solo homer, Lauer allowed three harmless singles with no walks and four strikeouts. The crafty southpaw has been solid outside of a single-game implosion at Coors Field, yielding three earned runs or less in eight of 11 total outings. He carries a 4.45 ERA and 1.26 WHIP on the season. While Lauer lacks broad fantasy appeal with a pedestrian 7.5 K/9, he’s firmly on the streamer radar for favorable matchups. He’ll take on the Philadelphia Phillies next Monday at home where he holds a 2.67 ERA.
