Luis Robert Receives Injection, Won't Go On Injured List
2 years agoChicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa said that outfielder Luis Robert (wrist) was sore after swinging a bat on Tuesday and received a cortisone injection to deal with the inflammation. Robert sat out again on Wednesday against the Houston Astros, but La Russa said there's no reason for Robert to go on the injured list. The 25-year-old has missed the last five games, so it's fair to wonder if the oft-injured outfielder will require an IL stint, even if La Russa says he won't go on the list due to a left wrist sprain. We'd be surprised if Robert is back in the lineup on Thursday, but perhaps he can return to the lineup for the weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert is a must-start fantasy commodity when he's on the field.
