Romeo Doubs Being Held To Higher Standard
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he's holding rookie wide receiver Romeo Doubs to a higher standard at training camp based on how well he's played to this point, even though Rodgers said many times that expectations need to be "reasonable" for rookie wideouts. "The standard for him is not going to be the standard for a normal rookie we've had here in the past," Rodgers said. Doubs has had plenty of wow plays this summer, but he's also been inconsistent with drops in practice and preseason games. Still, with fellow rookie Christian Watson (knee) behind due to an injury, Doubs could be in line to start in four-wide sets to open the regular season alongside Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins and Randall Cobb. The 22-year-old is worth a late-round flier in deeper redraft leagues.
