4 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Trevor Gott had an awful outing in Friday's 8-7 extra-innings loss to the A's. Gott came on to start the ninth inning up 7-2. He proceeded to allow a solo home run, walk a batter, hit a batter, and allow a game-tying grand slam before getting the hook. Gott only got one out and ended up allowing five runs on the two home runs, the walk, and the hit batter. This only didn't count as a blown save because the Giants were up by so many runs to start the inning. Gott has mainly served as the team's closer but has a poor 8.53 ERA with a 10% strikeout rate. Fantasy players can do better when chasing saves.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
